A Story on the Beach...

Walk with Me on water
The only way
to walk along the beach is barefoot.
For one golden sandy moment
your footprint signature is a part of the beach...

Hear the shore break;

cover your toes.

Your path is unique

tracks now disappear
no-one can follow.

But a couple
of distinct journeys
can match each other

stride by stride
beside...

Just a bit of thought in this blog...

I won't get into the politics of the whole matter but I will say it has rocked the school that my kids go to a bit that they can't PRAY or say GOD at their school.

The pictures at the end of my little blog here will tell a tale of how much "love" and "compassion" this school has here.

My story, and I'll keep it short, goes like this.

Campus Crusades was allowed to come to our schools back in the 80's and pray with us back in the old days. I call them that because I was young and I needed College aged kids to come into the school and mentor us. I needed wonderful teachers to care for me during this time. Short story is because of some small gesture that a few college kids did and a small amount of time they took away from their busy schedule I went on to a smaller college than the University of Texas and went to a small Baptist College and truly I think I found my way smoother in life before going back to UT.

Now was this "against" the law and rules and all this stuff that seems to be going on in the year 2009? I have absolutely no clue. Things seem to have been more simple back then. That is my short version of how a couple of wonderful kids changed my life and I thank GOD for that. I have more to that story but in short just a couple of kids praying with me at school early in the day or at lunch changed my life.

Yes...

So, I will let these pictures tell the story about the High School where my kids go to school here. How do I tell them that they can't even say GOD or Pray?

(you can see the story in the PNJ here)

It is a sad day isn't it if they can't do this anymore.

These were taken almost a year ago.

They are FREE for anyone to take. Just click on the picture and they will take you to the ORIGINAL picture and you can download the "save as" picture (high resolution). Thanks guys for a great last years season.

My friend LESA (who helped me with PROM) check her out

My friend LESA, who helped me with prom along with the hubby, just had a wedding shoot and I would love for you to check out her web page.

I'm leaving Pensacola as soon as school is out and, well, I will be highlighting some wonderful people in the area that are willing to do some shoots on the beach or elsewhere. Lesa is also pretty good at shooting inside on the stage (as you can tell).

Lesa is very laid back and does the simple lifestyle approach to things. Plus she's LOTS of fun!

She has been a friend of mine for over two years here in the Pensacola area (she lives in Mobile) and I would not have gone as far as I have in my photography business without friends like Lesa.

So check her out at her website

Thanks so much ~ micki

Update on what has been posted recently and what will be coming up.

I am uploading (and have uploaded) several Senior Portraits so please take a look at them in the "NEW" folder.

I really enjoy taking pictures of teenagers on there way to new adventures. Capturing the essence of days gone buy and adventures to come.

This is Aja and I am almost done with her pictures.

You can check them out "here"

This is Chelsea.
I am done with her pictures and you can see her pictures here.

I also have a Wedding coming up next week and I am really looking forward to this one. It's going to be so much fun.

Here's a few "engagement" photo's to get everyone in the mood.

Some of these pictures (engagement) were taken by Beth Murphy.

What is going on? Why is it taking so long to get pics up? hmmm

Ok, did PROM pics last night and boy was that fun.

It will take a few days to even look at the pictures we took because I have a few photo shoots that we did last week that I have yet to even process.

It's just little old me doing the processing and I was still finishing up on a wedding and working on something special for an upcoming wedding on the 16th.

But for some of you that haven't seen my new wedding that just got posted take a look at my pictures of of the GRAY wedding. It was a wonderful wedding that we did in New Orleans.

So keep an eye on the two Senior Portraits that will be on the home page in a few days and the Prom pictures very soon. Thanks so much for your patience.

We sure are going to miss this area when we move to Maryland. If you have any questions please e-mail me at mvisionphotography@yahoo.com If you know of anyone wanting to buy a house in Pace we would love for you to send them our way. :)
