The day after Christmas Andrew and I went over to our friends house and got to take pictures of their fun lively family. We were so lucky to have a gorgeous "no snow" day.

As you can see their house is on the water so we took full advantage of the dock and the great blue sky (again NO SNOW and it is winter).

The girls didn't even complain when we took off their jackets. They were so good that day.

Carrie's Senior Portriats

The leaves are turning here in Southern Maryland and it was a perfect day to go out and take Senior Portraits.

I really enjoyed spending time with Carrie and having my daughter Torrey as well as my husband Andrew along to help out. Torrey took some great shots of Carrie and is becoming a great photographer and her I couldn't have done this photo shoot without her. It's great to have a "friend" on the photo shoot as well.

Waldo goes to Restore Sanity and/or Fear' Rally

You won't believe who WE FOUND!

WALDO!

and you won't believe where we found him.

At the Rally in DC!

Ok....

I kid.

The truth is you wouldn't be able to find anything at the rally (Restore Sanity) in DC today. There were way more than 100 thousand people (probably more like 500 thousand).

We took our son (Corbin) who dressed up like Waldo (since everyone always thinks he looks like Waldo anyway). He wanted to do this and we had some FUN. Well we did this until we realized that we wouldn't be able to MOVE or HEAR anything but then realized it wasn't about going there to hear anything or see anything but just SHOW up and let the whole world know we are either insane or we just care for something (not sure what) but something.

The signs people made were hilarious (and nope can't post half of them here for censorship purposes). We truly enjoyed it so please enjoy some of our "WALDO" pictures.

First thing everyone always asks is how much.

Well.... my daughter is a senior this year and we decided this year it would just only be $50 (session fee) to let me take you out and on a "photo-shoot" (like I do with a model) and have fun fun fun.

Where?

Wherever you want to go.... Got ideas?

Lets do it.

Props?
Play a sport?
Let's do that!
Let's have fun.

I'll let you have a 8x10 on me and a couple of 5x6's.

Then there will be several portfolio packages (senior portrait packages) that you can purchase. I will also make individual pictures easily able to be bought as well as wallets. This makes it easy. I will make sure you have a couple little pictures to upload for your facebook (fun pics). I want to treat you right. YES!

I can do other things too....

I can do "senior graduation photo announcement cards". I got one of these from a friend of mine who's son graduated in Texas and I was blown away how wonderful it was to get a postcard that was colorful and beautiful with his pictures on it announcing his graduation.

Make a "senior photo book" YEP! ~ I can do that too.

JUNE 5th RACE DAY!!!!

We had over 70 people show up today at the YOUNG LIFE 5K RACE
HOW EXCITING! How much FUN the race was. You will be able to purchase race pictures and downloads of the pictures with the proceeds of those pictures going to benefit YOUNG LIFE of St Mary's County. Just click HERE to get to the PORTFOLIO of all the pictures. I have posted the RESULTS of the YOUNGLIFE 5K BLOG. Some of you left before we handed out those medals so you will want to contact me to get them.
We are SO excited how well our first race went. MVision was THRILLED to be there to help out (thanks to hubby for taking the pictures). I was personally thrilled to give my talent on making the design for the t-shirt and the back.

Kimono and glamor

Last weekend I was so lucky to have a great model to do a wonderful photo shoot with some Kimono's I got in Japan.

We had a great time (Andrew, myself and Lauren).

Besides some bugs (ticks), a long walk and some guys fishing it was just perfect. Can't wait to have another photo shoot with her again.

Spring is here and the flowers bloom...

Gorgeous trip to DC last week was well worth it.

We came out with some beautiful pictures of some gorgeous Cherry Trees and some wonderful family time.

It was just a gorgeous day and the trees were just perfect.

It was so wonderful seeing so many people who had come from so many places just to see the beauty of this one place, the capital of our country.

It was truly wonderful!

My son has taken up learning how to use an SLR camera and he actually got in a few wonderful pictures himself. YEAH!I encourage everyone to get out there and snap a few pictures of the trees before the blooms start turning. Of course you will have to do this while you are sneezing. Don't forget to start thinking about booking those PROM pictures and spring/summer photo shoots now. I am actually starting to fill up my weekends.

My daughter is in a play so I got to take pictures of their first performance of Thoroughly Modern Milly.

Spring is here... run run run

Looking forward to the next few weeks/months with family photo shoots/vollyball and possibly yes Soccer (maybe) in the works. Even a couple of weddings booked out. Looking to start shooting for those Senior Portraits and now that the weather is cooperating (YEAH) Cherry Blossoms in DC. Tomorrow the Hubby and I will be going there to take some pictures and enjoying the day.

Things are starting to "bloom" as they say and my rest time is over. People that are asking for "when" I will be available and such I have an answer now. Yes... I guess my winter rest of the move has now turned into yep I am available and can get out into the weather and enjoy the spring and shoot shoot shoot. YEAH!

I have just used my graphic art ability to designed a T-Shirt for a YOUNG LIFE 5k. I Truly enjoy using my talents like this and still love getting behind the computer and working in this media. I forgot how much I did. Restorations/Photo Shopping and Picture taking took over so much of my life. We have been having fun taking pictures for Young Life which is an AWESOME program here for our teenagers.

My friend LESA, who helped me with prom along with the hubby, just had a wedding shoot and I would love for you to check out her web page.

I'm leaving Pensacola as soon as school is out and, well, I will be highlighting some wonderful people in the area that are willing to do some shoots on the beach or elsewhere. Lesa is also pretty good at shooting inside on the stage (as you can tell).

Lesa is very laid back and does the simple lifestyle approach to things. Plus she's LOTS of fun!

She has been a friend of mine for over two years here in the Pensacola area (she lives in Mobile) and I would not have gone as far as I have in my photography business without friends like Lesa.

Ok, did PROM pics last night and boy was that fun.

It will take a few days to even look at the pictures we took because I have a few photo shoots that we did last week that I have yet to even process.

It's just little old me doing the processing and I was still finishing up on a wedding and working on something special for an upcoming wedding on the 16th.

But for some of you that haven't seen my new wedding that just got posted take a look at my pictures of of the GRAY wedding. It was a wonderful wedding that we did in New Orleans.

So keep an eye on the two Senior Portraits that will be on the home page in a few days and the Prom pictures very soon. Thanks so much for your patience.

Sarah Palin comes to Pensacola

So Torrey and me get to take pictures of Sarah Palin.

Oh we had so much fun!

Well we enjoyed finally getting into the Pensacola Civic Center but not the LONG line outside. It was raining the whole time and the 10,000 people (plus) that also waited were drenched.

My friend Wendy, myself and Torrey decided to go have lunch after an hour and a half and then came back after the line was almost gone (and we almost missed the Rally).

We almost couldn't stand out there anymore.

I had friends wait for four hours to get in.

Now was it worth it?

YEP!

She was amazing. If you are Republican, Democrat, Independent or nothing at all a Rally is just amazing.

The spark they have just being out there on stage is just wonderful.

I enjoyed being in the Civic Center (the same place where the Ice Pilots Hockey Team used to play).

So, now I can say YEAH, I got my daughter to a bit of history.

Heather and Chad

I had a photo shoot on Sunday afternoon.

Heather and Chad were so kind to come out and smile, laugh and be serious with me. Torrey came with me and Andrew came back to take pictures at sunset (some some pics on the web that I process were taken by Andrew too).

It is hard to take a bad picture of Heather. Her eyes just sing and sparkle.

She has a glow about her.

Me Micki a Blogger!

I can say I was a blogger before I was a photographer so don't laugh!

I have finally got myself a BLOG going and now everyone can say MICKI is a has a PHOTOG BLOG AND is PHOTOG BLOG BLOGGING right?

So for those of you that know me I will try to let everyone know what I am doing. Since everyone knows I am not blogging because I am PHOTOGGING (new word).

So what am I up to? I am working on pictures of a wonderful family that we took pictures of on the beach. It seems we couldn't take ONE bad picture of them. Gorgeous smiles and a gorgeous evening and it wasn't even HOT. Only thing I did that was wrong was I forgot my water down on the beach. Number one rule ALWAYS have water with you!

Anyway, I spent the whole day trying to get this up and pretty so I could keep everyone up to date on what is going on. Only thing left to work on are these pictures and getting the rest of some Retirement stuff finished as well as some finishing stuff on some Wedding pics and get them on DISKS. Getting ready for the KREWE'S Charity MAUI GRAS LUAU where we are the PHOTOGRAPHERS. There are still tickets available if you are interested.
